Our decision to choose ESX as a primary supplier of Storage and Server hardware was based on their competitive pricing. Choosing them as our Support Partner was a no-brainer after the first time the demonstrated a level of care, commitment and competence rarely seen these days. We can sleep well at night knowing that WHEN (Because it is always "when") there's something wrong in our environment that we lack in-house skills to resolve - they've got our back and we can rely on them to help us deliver the best possible level of service to our clients. I've worked with ESX and rep Jerry Carlson over the course of two companies- the first brought ESX in after many years with a previous service, to migrate IT services and eliminating several system flaws and malware vulnerabilities. Jerry and his team have a knack for breaking complicated IT jargon down for the layman, listening to the real needs of their customers and advising on plans that are realistic and do not take advantage of those of us without extensive knowledge in the field. It's always a pleasure dealing with the support team, who are always personable and fast to react- I never dread having to give them a call. I was so impressed with the excellent service we received, that I decided to go with Jerry and ESX again when starting a new, much smaller company- I still receive the same attention and wonderful service as before, and their team did a fantastic job of getting things set up and there are never any problems. I operate a sales & service staffing organization in the west suburbs of the Minneapolis metro area and originally connected with ESX after we moved into our 1st ever office space right down the road from ESX's corporate office. Since I've personally been in mostly sales positions in my professional career, I half expected my then "new" office space to be visited by other organizations that wish to sell their services to us. To my surprise, it ended up taking several months after moving in to see our 1st random walk-in sales person asking for me at the front door. The person that visited me that day was ESX's Sales Manager of Service Solutions, Jerry Carlson. While cold-calling for new business is no sales persons favor daily activity, Jerry handled it with simplicity and grace without being pushy in any way. If my memory serves me from that day, roughly 5 years ago...I/we weren't in a position to be a possible customer for Jerry / ESX based on our size at the time. However, things changed and we were fortunate to grow the business enough to consider an outside partner for all things technology. Since then, Jerry and ESX have been our exclusive partner for our on-premise technology needs including remote-based technical support for our internal employees, switch and firewall installation / maintenance and imaging & set-up of our users laptops, printers, Office365 accounts, etc. I was loyal to ESX because of Jerry originally but that has grown to include all of the support staff that I've worked with on various issues for years now. They are professional, approachable, non-pushy and always there when we need them. While there are always plenty of options out there if your business needs a partner like ESX, I personally recommend at least giving ESX a shot to earn your business and if you're like me, you'll end up choosing ESX over the others because of how you are treated and valued...not just because they can close helpdesk tickets or whatever you need.
